What is anger?

By definition anger is a strong emotion; a feeling that is oriented toward some real or supposed grievance, it’s a state: the state of being angry. But what does anger do to you? Not only anger blinds your, but also stops the way you think and you become another person. Just like the Hulk, when a human being gets angry he/she can destroy anything, not only material things but also the feelings of your love ones. We know different kinds of anger but it can be separated into two categories: short term anger and long term anger. The difference between the two of them is quite simple, short term anger lasts for a couple of minutes or hours, this is when someone says something negative about you or the ending to your favorite show got messed up. Now long term anger is much more complex we see this type of anger mostly when you lost someone or something in that genre it can last for months or even years.

But how can we take control of our anger? Anger can lead to many things, such as stress, doing something regretful etc… Anger is something hard to control. Why? Because remember anger is an emotion and emotions are close to impossible to control. So if we can’t control it, all we have to do is channel the energy from our anger to something positive, in other words use it as fuel for your motivation, whatever that motivation should be. For example, when you play sports for example let’s say basketball; if someone dunks in your face or keeps scoring on you, you will get tired of it and it will anger you forcing you to do better than that person, during that instant you get an adrenaline rush and you feel like you can do anything in the world. Well we can use this example in real life, using your anger to beat the obstacle creating that anger. So whenever you feel upset channel that energy to fuel your motivation and fight that anger.
